Student Leadership Development Program

The Student Leadership Development Program is intended for students who are ready to be formed as leaders in our community. This formation occurs primarily through project-based work in and around the parish offices, specifically the youth ministry department, that gives the students ownership in parish initiatives, and provides the context in which students can develop valuable leadership skills. The project work and time schedule can be tailored to the needs of each student, but could include work such as:
  • Administrative work
  • Program planning and development
  • Communications, written and spoken
  • Web and Graphics Design
  • Media Development and management
  • Etc.

This is a new program that is still in development, but a formal program manual is being written that outlines a specific curriculum of leadership skills to be mastered. The goal is to provide some level of certification of leadership development that can reflect positively on the student's college/job applications, resume, CV, or other documentation.

All hours completed in this program can be counted as service hours.
