All Saints and All Souls Celebration
JOIN US FOR A FUN FAMILY EVENING to celebrate the Feasts of All Saints and All Souls! On Friday evening, October 28, join other parish families for pizza, games and prayer. We’ll meet at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria for pizza, veggies and chips (free-will donation). We’ve planned some fun games - Saints’ Bingo, St. Peter’s Fishing Hole and more. To conclude, we’ll remember those in our family who have gone before us “marked with the sign of faith” and we’ll head into the cemetery with candles to pray for the beloved dead of our parish before heading home around 7:30.
Holy Pumpkin Carving Contest
Try your skills at carving pumpkins with symbols that represent our Catholic faith, saints or Bible stories. Carve your pumpkins at home and bring them to the party. There will be prizes. |
Saint Costume Contest
Oh, when the saints come marching in....... Kids, dress up as your favorite saint and enter our costume contest. Prizes will be awarded. |
Whether you join us on Friday, Oct. 28th or not, be sure to celebrate on the actual feast days of All Saints Day (Nov. 1) and All Souls Day (Nov. 2).
It varies year to year, but this year All Saints Day on Tuesday, November 1st is a holy day of obligation. Attend Mass, pray to our saints in heaven, pray for our dead, and share stories of their wonderful lives. Liturgical living is joyful, holy and fun! |
