What is Spiritual Direction
Meet the Directors
Linda BlondinSpiritual DirectorI understand spiritual direction as accompanying another in developing or deepening their relationship with the Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. While providing spiritual direction her objective is to assist others in recognizing the ways God may be speaking to them, developing practices that help with becoming more available to God and shaping their lives with God as the center. Linda graduated from of the Institute for Spiritual Direction in DeWitt, Michigan in 2017.

Marie ClementsSPIRITUAL DIRECTORIn October 2020, I graduated from The Cenacle of Our Lady of Divine Providence School of Spiritual Direction (Clearwater, FL) associated with the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.
To have a director that puts aside their own self and with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, deeply listens and reflects back our experiences and stories is a great gift. Learning to hear and recognize the voice of the Lord in prayer and by reading His Word we can experience the Lord’s love in amazing new ways , healing us and setting us free from things we didn’t even realize we needed to be set free from. It is an honor and a privilege to be called to “pay it forward” as I serve and assist others on this grace filled journey. |
Marie DrewekSPIRITUAL DIRECTORMy name is Marie Drewek. I am a parishioner at St. John the Evangelist parish. My background includes a Master of Divinity degree from St. John’s Provincial Seminary, Plymouth, MI, the year the seminary moved to Detroit. In 1999, I received a Master of Science Nursing degree in oncology from Loyola University-Chicago. In December, 2019, I completed the requirements at St. Francis Retreat Center in De Witt, MI, to be commissioned as a spiritual director in the Lansing Diocese.
For over three decades I have met regularly with trained spiritual directors. My greatest eye openers came when I learned that there are no “coincidences” on this journey of faith. Moments and words that gave me pause and captured my attention were actually God’s “whispers” to me. I learned over time to be purposefully attentive to each day’s dynamics and to actually talk to this God who loved me enough to want a personal and loving relationship with me. My enthusiasm grows at the thought of being able to walk with others who want a more meaningful bond between themselves and God.

Nora FrancisSPIRITUAL DIRECTORI graduated in December 2021, from the Institute for Spiritual Direction in DeWitt. Prior to my becoming a spiritual director I was a pharmacist for about 40 years. loved serving and helping people in that capacity. I have been an active parishioner of St. John since 1999. Our parish has a vibrant and strong faith life. I would like to assist other Christians interested in having a closer relationship with God. I look forward to meeting you as we share and learn through scripture and prayer about God’s role in our lives.
